Insight

Our annual patient survey

We ask, listen and learn directly from patients rather than assuming what they need. Our survey brings together people across the UK, Ireland and the US, including those living with diagnosed eye conditions and those experiencing symptoms without a formal diagnosis.

It gives us a view of the whole journey, from first symptoms to diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management, and lets us measure how patient needs change over time.

There is no single patient journey

Some people are early in their experience; others have managed symptoms for years. Understanding the individual behind the condition matters.

Eye care professionals make the difference

Many patients leave consultations reassured. We want everyone to have the information and confidence to manage their condition beyond the appointment.

Education, in the format that suits you

Patients value clear, practical information on symptoms, treatment and lifestyle, through digital, online and traditional formats.

Engagement

Patient education, shaped by what patients told us

We’re evolving how we share education so it’s more accessible, relevant and responsive, and so healthcare professionals and patient support networks have useful resources to share.

Accelerating impact

Standing with patient communities

We support organisations run by and for patients, and we attend their events to hear first-hand how eye conditions affect daily life.

Internal advocacy

Every Scope employee, an eye health champion

We are all driven by the impact we can have on our patients and customers, helping to improve their quality of life. That focus is supported by sharing patient insights through our internal channels and Town Hall meetings, so every colleague understands how their role connects to the people we ultimately serve. It’s our purpose in action: inspiring each other to make a difference.
