Health & Wellbeing

A workplace where people feel supported, connected and able to thrive

We invest continually in initiatives that support the physical, mental and emotional wellbeing of our colleagues, while fostering a culture of openness, care and psychological safety.

Employee-led

Inside Out: our Health, Safety and Wellbeing Working Group

At the heart of this work is our employee-led Inside Out group, which runs awareness campaigns, wellbeing initiatives and educational opportunities throughout the year.

Awareness campaigns

Campaigns that open up conversations colleagues might otherwise avoid having at work.

Wellbeing initiatives

Voluntary, inclusive activities focused on personal wellbeing rather than competition.

Education

Expert-led sessions and webinars that build understanding across the business.

Psychological safety

A culture where speaking up about health is normal, supported and confidential.

Our wellbeing programme

A programme that runs right through the year, from weekly moments of connection to company-wide campaigns and expert sessions.

Ongoing

Mind & Body Boost Challenge

A challenge encouraging colleagues to prioritise both physical and mental wellbeing through movement and mindfulness. Participation is voluntary and inclusive, with the focus firmly on personal wellbeing rather than competition. Whether walking, exercising, meditating, dancing or spending time outdoors, colleagues find the activities that help them create greater balance and healthier habits.

Annual campaign

Men’s Health Week

A dedicated campaign encouraging colleagues to look after their physical and mental health, speak out if they are struggling and support one another. It also raises awareness of important but often overlooked health topics, including prostate and testicular health.

Weekly

Motivation Monday

A regular source of positivity, with members of the Inside Out group sharing songs, films, inspiring people and personal reflections that motivate them. These weekly posts encourage connection and help create a sense of community across the organisation.

Expert sessions

Health awareness webinars

Company-wide sessions delivered by external experts, on subjects such as menopause awareness, that increase understanding and encourage supportive conversations about health at work.

Recognition

Where people feel valued, appreciated and connected to the impact they make

Our programmes reward outstanding contributions, but they also strengthen engagement and reinforce our values of Authenticity, Creativity, Drive and The Craic. Colleagues are encouraged to nominate peers who demonstrate exceptional performance, collaboration and commitment to those values, all year round.

Monthly

Employee of the Month

Peer-nominated each month, so good work is recognised close to when it happens.

Mid-year

Summer Awards

A mid-year moment to celebrate achievements and the positive behaviours behind them.

Annual

Annual Awards

Our flagship celebration of both individual and team achievements across the business.

Recognition is not just about awards

Our flagship programmes provide important opportunities to celebrate outstanding achievements, but we believe meaningful recognition should happen every day. By encouraging colleagues to acknowledge acts of collaboration, support, innovation and customer impact as they happen, we build a culture where people feel valued for the everyday contributions that make a difference.

This commitment helps ensure recognition becomes part of who we are, rather than something we do only at specific points throughout the year.

“Recognition matters, but it doesn’t always have to be done via the big flagship awards programmes. Everyday ‘in the moment’ recognition can sometimes hold more meaning for someone as it’s an acknowledgement that what we all do matters and makes an impact.”

Looking ahead

We stay committed to building on these foundations: investing in wellbeing, promoting psychological safety and creating opportunities for colleagues to connect, learn and thrive. By embedding wellbeing into everyday working life, we aim to ensure Scope remains a place where people feel valued, supported and empowered to be at their best.
